Hello fellow adventurers!
As you all know, I’m in my second year of college as a computer science major. This semester is almost over and by that I mean, NEXT WEEK IS FINALS WEEK!!!!! Commence the freak outs, uncontrollable sobbing, and mixed matched clothes.
This time next week I will be on my way home for winter break. (Woot!) In that short time though, I have so much that I need to do: final papers, final projects, and the unavoidable studying. I won’t go into too much detail because 1) it’d be painful, 2) it’d be dreadful to read, and 3) this is the place I come to avoid my other responsibilities so why would I focus on them? I’m kidding, of course. I am actually on top of things and am writing this instead of taking a nap.
It’s been a week since the last time I posted, and a lot has happened!
Sunday, as I was on my way back to school, I received an email from an editor at The Mighty who wanted to feature one of my posts on their website. I said yes and together we worked on a couple of edits to make it better than it was before. I am so excited about this because being featured on their website opens the door to a bigger audience and I want as many people as possible to read my blog, learn about mental illnesses, and know that they aren’t alone. This is the article on their site.
On Monday, I was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society. I’m really excited to see what comes of this: what friends I’ll make, what connections will be formed, and so on. I think Monday was also the night that I realized I had an eight page paper due on Thursday. Yikes!
If you have finals soon, Good luck! You can do it. Make sure to get your sleep and eat. Stay hydrated, I haven’t been doing this but I will start! Solidarity readers, I’m with you! Thank you for sticking with me.
Until next time,
